Before asking your provider to reduce the dose, try these interventions: Eat 5 to 6 small meals instead of 3 larger ones Avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes after eating Eliminate fried, fatty, and heavily seasoned foods temporarily Ginger tea or ginger supplements (250 mg four times daily) have anti-nausea properties Switch your injection day so the worst nausea falls on a weekend Ask your provider about ondansetron (Zofran) for breakthrough nausea If none of these work after 3 weeks, your provider may drop you back to the previous dose for another 4 weeks before attempting the increase again
