Description

Version of the iconic Tube map designed by Hans Schleger (Zéró) rather than HC Beck

This one is from a series designed by Allan Carter in the mid-50s featuring various national 'types' against a dark blue background (in this case a Tower of London Yeoman of the Guard inspecting one of the castle's famous ravens)

The People of the world cannot be bullied

In the late forties and early fifties

Peace Celebrations London Version of the iconic TubeOriginal First World War era poster, Peace Celebrations, published by the Parishes of Romsey Infra and Romsey Extra, Hampshire, 1919. The poster calls on local householders and businesses to decorate their homes and premises for a day of national commemoration marking the end of the 1914 18 War. An evocative slice of British social history and (of course) a very rare survivor. A higher resolution image is available for viewing on request.
