Valdespino Vina Macharnudo Alto Barrel-Fermented Palomino 2024 Canterbury Fine tannins balance its tangyA standout in Valdespinos range of unfortified Albariza wines, Via Macharnudo Alto Barrel Fermented is made from Palomino grapes grown at the highest point of the historic Macharnudo Alto vineyard. Hand picked at night, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in old sherry barrels, then aged on lees for six months with two further months in cask. The 2023 vintage is bright and expressive, offering aromas of lime, chalk, mint and toasted almond.
