He combines do it yourself modular synths, tape machines, guitar and field recordings to create cascading layers of ambience verging on musique concrte. On "Orphe aux Enfers", Schlienz combines his synthesizers with numerous acoustic instruments: viola, strings, piano, voices and undefined textures.
