The recycled CBs give rise to secondary materials which can find application in many areas such as carbon dots (Anmei et al., 2018), bituminous mixtures (Toraldo et al., 2015), pesticides (Murugan et al., 2018) precast concrete bricks for paving (Wadalkar et al., 2018), hydrophobic adsorbent for oil-spill (Xiong et al., 2018), supercapacitors (Xiong et al., 2019), hydrogen storage materials (Blankenship & Mokaya, 2017), activated carbon for dye adsorption (Hamzah & Umar, 2017), asphalt concrete (Mohajerani et al., 2016), fired clay bricks (Sarani and Binti Abdul Kadir, 2013), and corrosion inhibitor extracts (Zhao et al., 2010)
